Voyager 1
Immersive Video Installation
The exhibition Voyager 1 was held by Hae Dn Kim and Melanie Chappuis from the 17 to 21 September 2018 at LCCA Gallery in London, UK.
Named after the NASA space probe Voyager 1, it is the furthest object sent to interstellar exploring the outer solar system. On-board the spacecraft, NASA has placed a golden record that contains sounds and images from Earth to communicate a story of our world to extraterrestrials and search for extraterrestrial intelligence.
Inspired by the contents of the golden record, the exhibition presented visual and sound-based works that reflect various traces of humanity and a general aspect of our lives to the outside world.
